A key element of this project was to address the water issue that allowed water to pool at the site of the new addition. Underground drain tiles were installed for both the house gutter system and surface drains. They were run underground to a new drywell system that drained into the main storm drains.

Also key to this project were the newly created rooms: a master bedroom, a family room and mudroom. The first floor bathroom was remodeled to include child-friendly items such as a step stool that is stored in the vanity’s toe kick, and a shallow medicine cabinet to the left of the sink so a child can reach the accessories stored there.

The new multipurpose family room provides a connection to the outdoors, the TV entertainment area and a play area for the children.
