When the family bought this home, they knew right away they’d have to remodel the 12x14 galley kitchen to fit their needs. The project included adding two very large islands, a butler’s pantry, two wine coolers and a dining/ breakfast nook.

Clerestory windows allow for abundant natural light from above, and corner windows fill the room with even more. Lighting also was added under the cabinets and the island countertop, while canned lights and task lighting were used throughout the rest of the kitchen.

Adjustable pull-out drawers were added under the counters along the perimeter and underneath the beverage island, and more storage and display space were added into the butcher block island, which also has an extra deep stainless steel vegetable/prep sink.
